Neetu Kapoor was always by Rishi Kapoor's side as he was getting treated for cancer in New York for over a year. The couple had returned to Indian only late in 2019. However, Rishi Kapoor's health deteriorated in April and he breathed his last on April 30, 2020.
Meanwhile, Neetu Kapoor got back on a film set after a long time to shoot for Raj Mehta’s Jug Jugg Jeeyo in November. A few weeks into the shooting, Neetu Kapoor along with co-star Varun Dhawan and director Raj Mehta tested positive for COVID-19. She resumed shooting after testing negative.
