Grammy nominated BTS named TIME's Entertainer Of The Year; the septet performs their chart-topping single 'Dynamite'
Global popstars and Grammy-nominated artists BTS has been named Entertainer Of The Year by TIME magazine. They've had a tremendous year with their music releases including two albums 'Map Of The Soul: 7' and 'BE' and one Japanese album 'Map Of The Soul: 7 - The Journey' along with multiple collaborations and solo releases. The seven members - RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook - are featured on the special cover looking sharp dressed in suits.
The caption on the Instagram read, "@bts.bighitofficial is TIME's 2020 Entertainer of the Year. Between releasing multiple albums and breaking every type of record in 2020, the Korean pop band ascended to the zenith of pop stardom. "We climbed our way up slowly, so it feels like we grew together. And we know each other on a deeper level," Jung Kook tells TIME."
"In an era marked by so much anguish and cynicism, BTS has stayed true to their message of kindness, connection and self-acceptance, writes @raisabruner. That's the foundation of their relationship with their fans, the ARMY," it further read.

BTS dropped their studio album 'BE' on November 20 with the title track 'Life Goes On'. The song debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 following 'Dynamite', which also climbed by 11 notches to No. 3. According to Billboard, BTS is the first duo or group in history to have two No.1 Hot 100 debut songs. The song is the lead single of BTS’ one of a kind album 'BE (Deluxe Edition)' that also topped the Billboard 200 chart. The album shares the honest emotions and thoughts the band has felt during the pandemic; the record created in the midst of COVID-19 carries the hopeful message that “life goes on”.
