"It was a dream come true to be a part of a periodic film", says Digangana Suryavanshi on her next

Digangana Suryavanshi who is known for working in films like Fry-Day and Jalebi is all set to star in her upcoming period drama film The Battle Of Bhima Koregaon. The actress who is paired opposite Arjun Rampal in the film, calls it 'a dream come true' to be a part of a magnanimous film like this one.

It was a dream come true to be a part of a periodic film, says Digangana Suryavanshi on her next

Talking about how difficult or easy it was for her to adapt into a character or an era she personally couldn't witness, she says "That's the beauty of it, you get to imagine, read, understand perhaps put yourself in an era where a lot of things didn't exist and a lot of things did exist. For me, it is a beautiful project where I got to explore these aspects".

Moreover, the larger than life film is based on social injustice and talks about the Mahar community and their battles to merely live a simple life back then. When asked about her take on whether inequality stills exists in our society, the Jalebi actress says "Of course it does, on so many different levels whether we accept it or not but it is definitely there. The least we could do is, when you are in a room with yourself you just need to think about how inequality exists in your life and how can you contribute in not making it difficult for other people through yourself"

Besides that, the actress who has achieved so much merely at the age of 23 has a body of work that is much significant to her given age. Sharing her thoughts on the same she quirks "It just that strikes that point in my life where I wanted to hear this so much. It just puts up a smile on my face and puts so much joy and positivity in my heart. I just feel that I am on a journey where I am still trying to get on to a position where I want to be. And as a matter of fact, no phase in your life is a waste irrespective of whether it being sad or ugly but you have to own it. So even if I failed in my past, I accepted it with a lot of dignity and grace. I think I look at everything in my life with a lot of dignity and grace and that's the least I could do"

Lastly, when asked about the preparation and the drill she went through to adapt to the character, Digangana shares "My prep process is very personal. But I was pumped up as it was a dream come true to be a part of a periodic film. Also, a big thank you to the creator of this film, Ramesh Thete sir, and his vision. Moreover, it speaks about a topic that we really need to hear in this era and I think this lockdown situation and shattered us to re-build better. Sometimes you need to pause so that you rejuvenate, because if you are only rushing then there's no introspection. And I feel it would be a delight for all the people to watch something like this as it is larger than life and a theatrical experience"
