'Kaun? Who did it': Flipkart video’s new interactive crime thriller is an intriguing new detective show that you have to experience!

Unlike television, the web allows space for experimentation and innovation. In the last couple of years, we have seen that happening especially in terms of writing and storytelling in web series. But the recently released show, 'Kaun? Who did it?', stands out from the rest of the shows released till now. For it’s a rare series which is interactive! Having seen a few episodes by this writer, one thing is clear: 'Kaun? Who did it?', available on Flipkart app, shouldn’t be missed!

'Kaun Who did it' Flipkart video’s new interactive crime thriller is an intriguing new detective show that you have to experience!

The idea of 'Kaun? Who did it?' is simple. Adi Bhagat (Sushant Singh) is a celebrated, retired cop who is now handicapped. One day, Malini (Samvedna Suwalka), a cop from the crime branch, arrives at his doorstep, asking for help on a murder case. At first, he refuses but then relents. Malini then gives out details of the murder including videos of the suspects. She also brings with her the things that were found at the crime scene. Adi studies these videos and items in detail and comes to know who the murderer is. But before he reveals it to Malini, he asks her who, according to her, is the culprit and names all the suspects.

This is where the interactive aspect comes to play. At this point, on your mobile screen, a question pops up asking ‘Who is the killer?’ with 4 options, of each suspect. The viewer gets 15 seconds to select the person whom he thinks has killed the victim. 15 seconds later, Adi reveals the murderer and also explains how he came to the conclusion, based on the interrogation video or clues found at the murder site.

All episodes follow the same pattern. Hence, it’s a new story in each episode but the format is the same – Malini shows Adi the videos of suspects and the things found from the crime scene. She also acquaints Adi, and thereby also the viewers, about the possible motive to commit the murder for each of the suspect. And then towards the end comes a time when viewers have to correctly guess and select the name of the murderer. In case you get it right, you get a chance to win amazing rewards and prizes. The series was unveiled on the Flipkart App on January 9 and till January 19, 11 episodes have been unveiled, as every day, a new episode is uploaded. In all, there’ll be 30 episodes.

Notwithstanding the uniqueness of the show, what also works is that it’s neatly written and also well-directed, the latter by Umesh Bist. The performances of Sushant Singh and Samvedna Suwalka also impress. Due to its interactive nature, the media player in the Flipkart app probably doesn’t have the option to rewind or forward. And that’s a smart move as the makers don’t want people to jump to the end, find out who is the killer and then go back and select on the right option!

With such a unique concept, 'Kaun? Who did it?' would surely get noticed and find many more viewers in the days to come. This can also serve as a nice show to watch with friends and discuss the hints thrown in by Adi and Malini. Overall, 'Kaun? Who did it?' deserves to be watched as it’s a show that entertains thrills and also rewards you for your efforts!
