Popular K-pop female group BLACKPINK's member Rosé has released her highly anticipated solo album 'R'. Marking her debut as a soloist, the title track 'On The Ground', came with a visually compelling music video.
In the music video, Rosé undergoes various phases in her life showcasing the ups and downs faced in the spotlight and beyond that. As someone who grew up learning music and singing, it depicts how she came to South Korea to pursue her dream of becoming a musician. The lyrics say, "I worked my whole life / Just to get high, just to realize / Everything I need is on the / Everything I need is on the ground."
There comes a part where now Rosé is watching young Roseanne play a piano and reminiscing her past self. At another point, she is walking on the ground full of flowers reflecting that no matter what happens and how she has made it, what matters is little things she strived for.
'On The Ground' is produced by Teddy and 24. It is in collaboration Jorgen Odegard, ojivolta, and Jon Bellion as producers.
