“Our goal was to have four, but I think it will have to be a firm stop at three..unless there is an act of God”- Lisa Haydon
Model-turned-actress Lisa Haydon is currently awaiting the arrival of her third child-a daughter- with her husband Dino Lalvani. The couple got married in 2016 and welcomed their first child, Zack, in 2017 and their second son, Leo, in 2020. Lisa, who is due on June 22 recently featured on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar India where she spoke about motherhood, pregnancy, and her family plans.
Lisa grew up in a house along with her eight siblings. Having come from a big family, she too desired to have a big family of her own with her husband Dino. "I like the idea of a large family. I grew up as one of eight siblings, and there was no room for us to feel jealous or any of that nonsense. As a child, having so many siblings was a great blessing because it didn't matter what the world thought of you...you went home to your own gang. It was impossible to bully any of us because we didn't care if someone didn't like us. We had our own team waiting for us, at home. My siblings were like my fortress and I grew up feeling very secure," she said talking to Harper’s Bazaar India.
"My husband Dino and I always knew we wanted to have a third child, we always knew it. In fact, our goal was to have four, but I think it will have to be a firm stop at three..unless there is an act of God," she added.
Lisa also recalled the time when she would pretend to be a mother and how chasing things she desired kept her further away from them. "Years ago, I remember wanting to have a husband, so bad. And wanting kinds, so bad. As a child, I would hold a doll under my shirt, and walk around pretending to be a mother. Sometimes, I think I have what I have today because I wanted it so badly. Your heart is like a magnet, and it will always attract your deepest desires. I have notices a recurring thee in my life, that the more I have chased something, the more it has evaded me ...a boyfriend, a husband, a career. But the more I practiced faith, patience, and gratitude, the more things worked themselves out," the actress expressed.
