Season 13 of Kaun Banega Crorepati premiered on Monday, August 23 with previous host of the show- Amitabh Bachchan taking over his duties again. In the freshly released promo on the SonyTV's social media, a visually impaired contestant Himani Budela was seen taking the hot seat. Himani seemed to have crossed 14 questions of the show and reaching the 15th question worth of Rs. 15 crore, giving her a chance to take the amount home with her.
The promo was shared on the official Instagram page of SonyTV, captioned it, "#KBC13 ke manch par aayi Himani Bundela kya apne gyaan aur hausle ki taakat se bann paayenge iss saal ki pehli crorepati? Jaanne ke liye dekhiye (Will Himani Bundela be able to become the first crorepati on KBC 13 with her knowledge and courage?) #KaunBanegaCrorepati, Mon-Fri."

However, Gyan Raj from Jharkhand, was the first contestant of the premiere episodes to take the hot seat. He shared that he teaches kids who have never stepped out of their village but participated in Nation competitions and won prizes. He also shared that one of his students managed to get into ISRO and as to continue teaching the kids, he refused many job offers. Gyan Raj took home a sum of Rs. 3, 20, 000. Kaun Banega Crorepati will air from Monday to Friday 9 pm on Sony TV.
